Christian Education
The Christian Education
(CE) Commission's main responsibility is the Sunday School program. They
ensure we have the staff, curriculum and supplies needed to further our
knowledge of God's work. The Commission is also responsible for Vacation
Bible School and Youth Fellowship.

We meet every Sunday morning from 9:30 -10:45 September through June *
With a current enrollment of 116 children and an amazingly dedicated staff, we offer classes ranging in age from 3 years through Adults. We offer a "Godly Play" class for our preschoolers filled with hands on Bible stories, activities, and love. Our primary Sunday School Curriculum is a Bible based program published especially for use by the Presbyterian Church USA known as "We Believe". With three main aspects, our children learn about God through biblical texts and theological themes. We listen and speak to God through prayers, psalms and songs. We are learning to love God and others through our worship and service as Presbyterians. We work to support the various mission projects of our church hoping to instill the importance of sharing our talents and blessings with everyone around us.
We offer a communicants class for our junior high students with a year long study into our faith as Presbyterians. Our goal is to help our young people as they explore their own personal faith, accept Christ into their lives, and become active members of our congregation.
We begin our journey each year with a "Rally Day" on the first Sunday after Labor day. We are particularly proud of some of the extra activities that we include throughout the year. This year some of the highlights included:
- A talk and visit from the families of our service men stationed in Iraq and the surrounding area.
- A Christmas Pageant
- The 2nd through 7th graders journeyed to a local nursing home to sing Christmas carols.
- A visit from the director of Camp Johnsonburg.
- An original video on Martin Luther written, acted, and produced by our very own 6th & 7th grade class.
- "One Great Hour of Sharing", a parade of palms, a hunt for eggs, and decorating the cross on the front lawn as part of our Lenten services.
- A visit from the "Creatures of Creation".
We get ready for the summer with a "Children's Day". This is usually held on the 2nd Sunday of June. All children are welcome to participate in this very special service. Come join the fun...we are waiting for you
